They provide extra strength and abrasion resistance in the sole area, and excellent anti slip properties. A reinforced shank provides arch support and extra strength to the sole - an important consideration when workers spend long periods on their feet. There is a reinforced seam a third of the way down from the top enabling them to be trimmed down if required.
